Bright Ideas: Lightovation Dallas International Lighting Show 2016

Recently, Banowetz + Company was asked by the Dallas Market Center to develop a logo and advertising campaign for Lightovation, formerly know as the Dallas International Lighting Market, which is the largest lighting market in the U.S. Although DMC had already landed on the name, they needed help establishing a look and feel for the new brand.

Twice a year, this market draws buyers from coast to coast to view a comprehensive collection of residential and commercial lighting over an illuminating four-day weekend. Lightovation also takes over the downtown Sheraton, with thousands of lighting specialists pouring into the city to see the latest, greatest — and brightest — ideas in the industry. It was exciting to see our new brand lighting the way to all of the festivities both at the hotel (where market-goers enjoyed an after-hours “after dark” party) and throughout the Dallas Market Center.

2016 Dallas ADDYs: Here We Come!

Banowetz + Company is thrilled to announce that we’ve been selected as a 2016 Award Winner for the 54th Annual AAF Dallas American Advertising Awards competition, commonly known as the Dallas ADDYs. We are told the competition was fierce this year, and judges from Walt Disney, Mirum, and The Community (formerly La Communidad) were very impressed by the caliber of work. 

The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, February 18th, at Gas Monkey Live! with Corby Davidson from 1310 AM and 96.7 FM The Ticket as the evening’s emcee. We’re excited to see the work of our peers, to find out which of our piece(s) placed, and to be recognized. Wish us luck, and we’ll keep you posted.

Making Merry: The Banowetz + Co Holiday Dinner

It’s the most wonderful time of the year — the sweets, the shopping, the festivities. And for us, the Banowetz holiday dinner. Each December, we wrap up our year with a celebratory evening of great food, just a few cocktails and lots of laughter. This year was no exception. Team Banowetz and all of our significant “plus ones” shared a fabulous meal at Tillman’s Roadhouse in Bishop Arts — a chic little spot with an interior designed by well-known party planner, Todd Fiscus. We took over the private dining room (an absolutely lovely space) and kicked off our holidays in style. Thanks to our fearless leader, Leon, for a wonderful evening!
