For anyone who loves art, NorthPark Center is a great place to get a cultural fix while knocking out a few errands. Recently, we blogged about the new installation of This Land is Your Land by Brooklyn-based Chilean artist Iván Navarro, on exhibit in NorthPark for the next 12 months. Additionally, NorthPark has rotated some of their other pieces in and out — a regular practice which allows the display of more works and keeps the Center fresh for the enjoyment of NorthPark shoppers.

Most pieces are from the personal collection of owners Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger, or are part of the Raymond and Patsy Nasher Collection. For those of you who may not be familiar with Raymond Nasher, he is the individual responsible for bringing the Nasher Sculpture Center to Dallas. Both of these family collections include some of the finest modern and contemporary sculptures in the world. Thanks to NorthPark, anyone can enjoy superior, world-class art without paying admission. Here are some of the pieces that are currently on display throughout the Center for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

All that Glitters is Not (Only) Gold: Eiseman’s New Salon is Simply Dazzling

July 10, 2014 Eric Venegas
Eiseman_Jewels_New_Salon_Banowetz_Blog

2014 is shaping up to be a sensational year for our long-time client, Eiseman — the Southwest’s premier luxury jeweler. Eiseman is not only celebrating a golden anniversary, but also the opening of a completely remodeled, expanded 3,200-square-foot salon as well as additions to its already exceptional world-class collections of jewelry and fine timepieces. And it’s only July!

The new NorthPark Center showroom opened to customers this last Monday. With its floor-to-ceiling glass storefront and open floorplan, guests may feel as though they have stepped into a large showcase — and they have. Rich, warm materials, neutral plush carpeting, sophisticated bronze details and marble flooring are in keeping with the heritage of the brand, while modern technological touches like true-white LED lighting for viewing gemstones and acoustic fabric ceilings offer more subtle enhancements to the overall experience.

The most eye-catching highlight of the new space is the jewel box–like vitrines in the storefront windows, weightlessly suspended from the ceiling. Also, the addition of a dedicated diamond and bridal boutique within the salon, as well as a private viewing room, will allow for an unequalled presentation of their bridal collections.

What hasn’t changed? The five key principles on which Eiseman was founded — integrity, value, selection, courteous service and philanthropy. And with a private 50th anniversary event slated for this September benefitting Crystal Charity Ball, Eiseman stays true to form: turning their own celebration into an opportunity to give back.

Lawyer Up!: Frenkel & Frenkel Redesign Complete

July 1, 2014 Eric Venegas
Frenkel_Branding_Banowetz_Blog

One of our long-time clients, Frenkel & Frenkel Attorneys and Counselors, recently approached us about doing a brand redesign for them. The project was a fun undertaking because while the guys over there are extremely  professional and buttoned up, they’re also just really nice guys — real people — who didn’t want a law firm logo that looks like every other law firm. As personal injury lawyers, they also wanted to convey a sense of advocacy and safety to their clients, as well as strength. With that, they left it to us to explore what that might look like as a monogram, icon or type treatment.

After some experimentation with colors and various graphic treatments, our clients chose a modern interpretation of a monogram and shield for their new look. After selecting some not-so-typical layouts for their stationery system (which of course we love because it will help them stand out from their competition!), they also had us lay out some fun items to promote their new look to clients, friends and family.

Check out the images below to see the results of the redesign. We also expanded the new look to include their social media accounts: Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Next on the docket is a redesign of their web site, so stay tuned for more. And if you ever need this type of legal assistance, take it from us: these guys will take great care of you — and you might just get a cool coffee mug, too.
