Banowetz + Company is thrilled to announce the full-time return of Lily Smith+Kirkley. Well-versed in working with clients large and small, Lily’s passion for great design and enthusiasm for approaching projects from unexpected perspectives have landed her the role of Associate Creative Director, where she will assist in leading the B+C creative team and overseeing various accounts and projects. When she’s not crafting award-winning work in her new role at Banowetz, this native Texan is the creative powerhouse behind Lilco Letterpress and the Workshop Chair for The Illustration Conference, ICON10. Join us in welcoming Lily back to the team!
Communication Arts magazine recently featured our talented friend and colleague, award-winning photographer Maxine Helfman. For over 15 years, Banowetz + Company has enlisted Max’s masterful eye and stylistic genius on projects ranging from jewelry to fashion, and have always enjoyed collaborating with her on the artful images she produces. We’re excited to see her recognized by one of the industry’s most renowned and respected publications. Read the CA feature here to learn more about Max’s inspiring story and what Leon Banowetz had to say about her.

Check out Banowetz + Company’s latest branding project for Tyrrell Boruff, a family-owned asset management and operating company. A custom icon was created by merging the first letters of the company name, which is a combination of the wife’s maiden name and the husband’s family name. The use of lowercase typography gives the brand a friendly and approachable feel, while corporate blue tones add a level of professionalism. Collateral pieces were letterpress printed by Lilco, and edge painting ensures a great first impression.
