TRIO: A Healthy Body of Work

We at Banowetz + Company have been flexing our creative muscles once again. After going through some naming exercises for a new client, “TRIO” was selected to identify a unique mind, body and soul experience. TRIO combines strength and conditioning training, nutritional education, and life coaching / stress management sessions into a total fitness weekend at a luxurious beach resort to help their clients become their absolute personal best. Now they’re in great shape with a strong new logo, collateral and website. 

The inaugural TRIO weekend in Rosemary Beach®, Florida, is coming up December 8–11. It’s not too late to sign up for the life-changing experience.

PRINTed: B+Co. will be featured in the 2016 PRINT Regional Design Annual

Banowetz + Company recently received the exciting news that the logo we created for Candid Camper was awarded a place in this year’s PRINT Regional Design Annual. PRINT is a well-respected design and advertising publication showcasing the best work from throughout the country, so being included in their design annual is quite an honor. The issue will be hitting the newsstands in late December. Pick up a copy and check out the logo, which also won a Gold at the Dallas Addy awards and a Silver district-level Addy award earlier this year. I guess you could call that a design trifecta. Congrats to our Senior Designer Wes Phelan on a job well-done.

NorthPark Center Unveils New Works by KAWS

Stop by and see the latest eye-catching additions to NorthPark Center’s impressive art collection, by Brooklyn-based artist KAWS. Clean Slate, a monumental sculpture on Level One near Macy’s, depicts one of the artist’s most famous figures carrying two smaller, adolescent figures. Survival Machine, on Level Two near Macy’s, is a series of five paintings containing popular imagery with layers of contradictions and subtleties.

Spanning the worlds of graffiti, pop art and consumer culture, KAWS conveys his underlying wit, irreverence and affection for our times. Well known for his larger-than-life sculptures and hard-edged paintings with similarities to popular cartoon figures that emphasize line and color, KAWS creates an emotional cast of hybrid cartoon/human characters in his work.

If you want to see more of KAWS, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is hosting a major exhibition KAWS: WHERE THE END STARTS through January 22, 2017.

Now, we think that’s KAWS for celebration!
