Pulling Out All the F-Stops. Behind the scenes at a NorthPark fashion shoot
That’s a wrap. After weeks of meticulous preparation, the photo shoot for NorthPark’s fall campaign is finally complete.
After three years of running the current campaign, it was time for a fresh look. We wanted a more structural, serious and museum-like feel I like to call “meticulous simplicity.” Typically, this shoot consists of a half-day model fitting and a full day of shooting one model. This time we were working to squeeze in two models in two days — including the model fitting and additional shots of hard goods and jewelry. Needless to say, it was fast and furious.
Also, there’s a ton of organization involved in putting together a shoot like this and it can be a bit nerve-racking. The fashion houses and the modeling agencies won’t confirm anything or anyone until the last minute — so we have to cross our fingers. But everything came together beautifully in the end. We received a lot of our top wardrobe picks from Tom Ford, Oscar de la Renta, Salvatore Ferragamo and Gucci. And the models, Heath and Paizley, were some of the best we have worked with to date. (Standing in one spot for hours in stilettos is harder than you think!)
In the end, I couldn’t be happier with how the shoot went. Our photographer, Max, accomplished exactly what we envisioned for this campaign. With her stunning lighting and great eye, she was the perfect fit. The images will be used in all the NorthPark fall advertising, billboards, in-center collateral and website graphics. Keep your eyes peeled, because you’ll be seeing these hot models around Dallas very soon.
